Questions
Questions before you book
What happens at a first visit?
You start with a skin analysis: your routine, what you use and what makes your skin react. Your esthetician looks at your skin under a magnifying lamp and writes down what she sees. The facial follows, built from that. Plan on 75 minutes.
How long does a visit take?
The analysis alone is 30 minutes. A facial with extractions is 60, a light peel is 45 and the first visit with both analysis and facial is 75. Every service on the menu lists its own time.
How often should I come?
That depends on your skin and on the service, and we'll tell you at your visit. Many clients come every four to six weeks; some come seasonally. We write the suggestion in your note.
Do I need the skin analysis first?
Yes, once, before your first facial and before any peel or dermaplaning. It is how we learn your skin and your routine. If you return after a long break, we start with a short check-in.
Can I come in when my skin is reacting?
Tell us when you book. We may suggest a calmer visit, another day or a call to your doctor, and we'll say why.
What should I do before and after a visit?
At booking we tell you what to pause, such as products that exfoliate, and what to bring. After the visit we go over your routine and what to avoid for a day or two. Our guidance is general, and we confirm it with you.
Who should ask a doctor first?
If you are pregnant or might be, use a prescription skin medicine or have a skin condition a doctor is managing, ask your doctor before you book a peel or LED light. Tell us at booking, and we'll plan around it.
What happens when you suggest a dermatologist?
We say so at the visit and write down why. We don't diagnose, and we don't promise that a facial will change a skin condition. If your doctor agrees, we can still see you for calmer visits while you wait for an appointment.
Do you see students, faculty and men?
Yes. Our clients are students, faculty, hospital staff and neighbors, and every adult is welcome. Evening hours Tuesday to Friday are there for people who come after class or work.
How does pricing work?
Prices aren't printed on this site. They depend on the service, its length, any add-ons and the esthetician's level, and the booking page shows them when you choose a service, before you confirm.
How do deposits and cancellations work?
A deposit holds a first visit and goes toward it. Please give 24 hours' notice to move or cancel.
